Coverbox call centre managed by BDML Connect

Pay-as-you-drive insurer Coverbox has established a new customer call centre to support its website.

The centre will be based at and managed by general insurance intermediary and third party administrator BDML Connect, part of Capita.

"Our customer base is growing, and as a new and evolutionary provider of insurance services, there are the inevitable questions and enquiries from new and imminently prospective customers, and an online quote site cannot always provide all the answers," said Sandy Dunn, chairman of Wunelli, the company behind Coverbox.

"Our approach is to be fast, efficient and knowledgeable, and this is a natural progression in the expansion and growth process.

"We felt that a UK call centre was vital given the importance of both local knowledge and an understanding of domestic motoring issues."

Coverbox pay-as-you-drive insurance allows drivers to take out comprehensive cover that is paid for by the mile, with the price per mile varying according to the time of the day or night.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
