Pen Underwriting has launched two new mid-market products for property owners and contractors.

The move follows the launch earlier this year by Arthur J Gallagher’s MGA of its Commercial Combined product.

Like this, the new and more specialised product will offer brokers access to a team of risk control surveyors, embedded cover extensions, technically expert underwriting and claims staff who are empowered to make decisions locally.

The new Property Owners and Contractors Combined products will be distributed locally via regional branch underwriters and through a select panel of brokers.

Nick Wright (pictured), managing director of Pen Underwriting’s Commercial division, said: “Feedback from our panel brokers since we started trading Commercial Combined has been extremely positive, so naturally we are keen to offer them more products through our network of regional offices.

“Ultimately we’re here to help brokers win business and retain it, by adopting a genuine partnership approach, and will only partner with those offering something more than standard risk transfer so we can provide real value to their clients.”
