Perkins Slade director of corporate business, Damien Doran, has died.

Doran, 49, died on May 1st 2011. He had been ill for several months.

Perkins Slade chairman David Slade said: “we have lost a dear friend and close colleague. I worked with Damien from the time he joined the company in 1988 and his warmth, caring attitude and professionalism will be missed by all his colleagues and clients."

Perkins Slade managing director Nick Tamblyn said that funeral arrangement details would be announced soon and posted on the company's website.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
