SME specialist takes on sales and marketing role
Broker Network and Countrywide has appointed Richard Pitt to the role of sales and marketing director, effective from 20 September.
Pitt is currently head of UK Insurance Business Solutions, an in-house brokerage that provides insurance for SMEs that are customers of RBS and NatWest. He has worked across the insurance, broking and MGA sectors and has designed, built and implemented several revitalised propositions.
Broker Network and Countrywide chief executive Gary Duggan said: “Richard is experienced in driving performance and we look forward to him adding significant strength to our management team.
“He has been brought on board to continue driving the network’s expansion and is responsible for developing go-to-market and sales strategies, creating future growth opportunities and providing greater support for prospective and existing members.”
Pitt said: “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to steer the development of Broker Network and Countrywide at such a transformational time in its history. I’m looking forward to working with Gary, network staff and members alike, to realise our ambitious plans.”
Broker Network and Countrywide together for the largest network for independent insurance brokers in the UK, with more than 650 members, of which 44 joined last year.
