Broker Network and Countrywide have appointed Keith Svendsen as Countrywide segment manager and Clare Pearson as head of client money.

Svendsen takes on his newly created role having joined from Covéa Insurance where he worked in the business development team and has more than 23 years of experience in the insurance industry. In his new job, Svendsen will work with partner insurers to develop new projects to take to market.

Pearson joins the network from Intercontinental Hotels having previously worked for the Co-operative Group for 17 years. She has experience of internal audit, credit management and operational control. Broker Network and Countrywide said her appointment reinforces the prominence of the client money service and will help with the significant demand from members.

Broker Network & Countrywide chief executive Gary Duggan (pictured) said: “These latest appointments are testament to our ability to attract the best talent to a business that is in good shape to grow significantly over the next few years.

“Our statement of intent, to transform our business in line with the demands of our customers, is backed by investment in attracting additional expertise and means that members are increasingly opting to commit to signing long term arrangements with us.”
