Plum Underwriting has opened a new underwriting and service centre

The centre, located in Basildon, Essex was set up as part of its strategy to support continued growth.

Its aim is to bring together underwriting, claims, pricing, accounts and administration teams from three offices in Southend, Brentwood and Sudbury, creating a centralised operational business support hub.

As part of the development of the centre, Plum has taken on an underwriting team from its third-party administrator partner, Hood Group.

David Whitaker, managing director of Plum said: “This new service centre reflects Plum’s continual focus on delivering a dedicated and efficient service to our brokers and their clients.

“By bringing together our teams outside London into a central hub there are both efficiency and service benefits that will enable us to further innovate and develop the underwriting and service standards brokers expect from Plum.”
