Prudential UK and Europe chief executive Jackie Hunt is to step down from her role after nearly two years in the position.

Hunt, who was previously finance director at Norwich Union, was appointed to the position in 2013 and has also held roles at Standard Life, Aviva and RSA

Prudential group chief executive Mike Wells said: “Jackie leaves our UK business in a strong position to continue to meet our customers’ long-term savings and retirement needs while delivering valuable returns for our shareholders.”

Hunt will be replaced, on an interim basis, by current Prudential group investment director John Foley.

Wells added: “I am also delighted that we have someone with the experience and expertise of John Foley to take the business forward until a permanent successor is appointed.”
