QBE is continuing to grow business in London with the announcement that its crisis management team has doubled in line size.

Product contamination recall risks underwritten by the team have doubled in line size from $5m to $10m, while sabotage & terrorism risks have more than doubled from $10m to $25m and the kidnap and ransom capacity is now at $10m.

QBE's crisis management underwriter Jennie Seabrook said the move would reinforce its position within the specialist market.

Seabrook said: “These increased line sizes are good news for us, for brokers, and for their clients.

“In the recall market this capacity will also mean that insureds can now have one policy without the inconsistency that various wordings forming one placement can incur.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
