Property director departs after eight years

QBE Europe property director Peter Fice has left the insurer, Insurance Times has learned.

Fice worked at QBE for eight years and had been property director for the past three. He previously led a number of underwriting and sales teams at RSA.

A QBE spokeswoman said: “I am able to confirm that Peter Fice, director of property, has left QBE. We wish him well for the future.”

A source said Fice’s departure had come as a surprise. “Nobody suspected this,” he said.

The departure comes months after David Hall began his new role as retail director. Hall was previously managing director of Aviva UK and Ireland’s corporate and specialty risks division.
