Brian Pomeroy remains on insurer’s main board

QBE European Operations chairman Sir Brian Pomeroy has stepped down after eight years and been replaced by Tim Ingram.

Pomeroy will remain on the group board, which he joined in June 2014.

QBE said in a statement: “Brian’s commitment to QBE EO has been exemplary and he has proven to be an invaluable support to the business.

“Although he leaves QBE in Europe, we are delighted that he is remaining within the QBE Group as a member of the group board.”

Ingram was appointed as a non-executive director in March this year. He will now chair QBE Underwriting Ltd, QBE Insurance (Europe) Ltd and QBE Re (Europe), subject to regulatory approval.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
