Irish insurer Quinn–direct said it had signed up more than 20,000 motor insurance customers

Irish insurer company Quinn–direct said it had signed up more than 20,000 motor insurance customers since its launch in February this year.

Quinn-direct general manager Kevin Lunney said that customers had been attracted by the low cost of its insurance.

"Quinn-direct shook up the Irish insurance market by continually reducing the cost of motor insurance for consumers and making the purchase of insurance as hassle-free as possible," he said.

"Irish consumers voted with their feet and moved to Quinn-direct and the same is now happening in the UK."

The business take-up for motor insurance extended the presence of the company in the UK, Lunney added.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
