Regulator told Quinn to hire actuary before administration

Ireland’s Financial Regulator asked Quinn Insurance to hire an in-house actuary more than eight months ago to make premiums high enough to cover future claims, the Irish Independent reports.

"This was progressing when the administrator was appointed on March 30," Quinn said. Recruitment is ongoing.
