Broker joins RFIB after long career in aviation broking

Lloyd’s (re)insurance broker RFIB has appointed Neil Coldwell as a broker producer focusing on aviation.

Coldwell started his career in aviation as a placing broker at Bain Dawes in 1978 and subsequently worked for broking houses such as Sedgwick’s, Willis Faber and, most recently, Chesterfield Insurance Brokers.

At RFIB he will concentrate on general aviation including products and airports. Working within RFIB’s International Division, he will seek to grow the aviation business organically and assist in building an aviation portfolio of business.

RFIB chief executive Marshall King said: “Neil brings over thirty years’ aviation broking experience to RFIB. His appointment significantly enhances our offering in general aviation and will provide invaluable support to our ambitions to grow this sector in this important sector.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
