Roadsure managing director Simon Jackson has left the specialist motor broker, it has emerged.

Jackson, a former director of BGL, joined Roadsure in 2005, with the aim of building a £100m GWP business by 2010.

Roadsure originally specialised in motorcycle and non-standard motor risks, but has begun to expand into the SME market.

Jackson said: “I left Roadsure on amicable terms to pursue other interests.”

Jackson said he was currently in discussions to return to the market in a new role.

Prior to Jackson's departure, it was claimed Roadsure had purchased broker Premier Choice.

It later emerged that Roadsure’s private equity owner Optimas had bought the company.

Meanwhile, Roadsure is still without a managing director after Jackson’s departure.

Finance director Neil Beckingham is currently running the company. He refused to comment on how the company was performing.
