Up to 30 staff will be affected by the sale of broker Roadsure to sister company Premium Choice.

Northampton-based Roadsure will move to Premium Choice’s Birmingham office following the sale this week, which was part of a restructure by parent company Optimas.

Roadsure director Neil Beckingham said there would be no job cuts as part of the restructure and all Roadsure’s staff would have the opportunity to relocate to Birmingham.

But he accepted not everyone would want to move.

“It is a difficult situation. It partly depends on their personal lives, among other things,” he said.

The group is now looking to expand in the specialist vehicle and non-standard personal lines market.

Beckingham said: “We have got a lot of experience in Premium Choice, and we have got a larger footprint.

“It has always been our intention to expand in the market where we live and that is done by organic growth or acquisition.”

Insurance Times revealed last week that Roadsure managing director Simon Jackson had left the company.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
