RSA extends motor contracts with DWS Bodyworks Limited (DWS) and Nationwide Crash Repair Centres Limited (NCRC)

RSA today announced the extension of two motor repair contracts with DWS Bodyworks Limited (DWS) and Nationwide Crash Repair Centres Limited (NCRC).

RSA has selected the two partners who best complement its strategy of providing a more consistent, compliant and streamlined repair supply chain. NCRC and DWS will, along with RSA's wholly owned Quality Repair Centres, provide the backbone of RSA's repair provision throughout the UK, supplemented where appropriate by specialist and manufacturer-approved relationships.

DWS has been a supply partner to RSA for over four years. Over that period, the relationship has grown organically with DWS providing a combination of dedicated and non-dedicated repair services throughout the M25 area.

The renewal and extension of the contract to 2013 means that DWS becomes RSA's single preferred supplier of motor repairs in the London area and will work to increase the number of RSA-Dedicated Repair Centres from three to seven during 2010.

NCRC has been a strategic supplier to RSA for over ten years. With RSA they developed a dedicated repair facility infrastructure, supported by their national repair centre network, to deliver excellent service to RSA's UK customer base. As part of the new contract, RSA will consolidate its repair provision into much of the NCRC network, with NCRC increasing its dedicated capacity from six centres to nine.

Commenting on the new agreement, RSA's Head of Operational Motor Claims, Ian Thompson, said, "I'm delighted to be able to confirm DWS as RSA's London solution partner and expand our relationship with Nationwide. When we weighed up all the options on the table, they came out as the clear choices. Their commitment to RSA and our customers in the past and their desire to continuously improve makes for a compelling proposition."

DWS's Group Managing Director, Steve Field, said of the new contract, "This new deal marks the conclusion of a two-year project by DWS to provide long-term, cost-effective repair services to one of the UK's leading motor insurers. Our objective now is to work with RSA to continue to raise the bar in terms of customer service and repair innovation."

NCRC's CEO, Michael Wilmshurst, said, "It's very pleasing to work with a partner who recognises and values customer service. We have worked hard to ensure we presented a compelling offering to RSA and we look forward to developing the new opportunities this contract brings both businesses."
