Royal & Sunalliance (RSA) has combined with human resources company Motivano to launch an employee recruitment and retention package.

The service, called @work, is designed to help employers attract and keep good employees by helping them offer benefits that "exceed their employees' expectations", @work director Gerry Callaghan said.

"Many employers try to attract and retain key employees by offering benefits, which range from long-term planning, such as additional voluntary contributions, through to short-term rewards such as gym memberships and local discounts," Callaghan said.

"Too often, the capacity for a firm to negotiate such discounts does not match the employees' appetite to devour them."

The new service, which RSA has already started offering to its 24,000 UK employees, does the work for employers by providing a range of RSA insurance products and Motivano employee savings.

It will initially be distributed to 500 companies that have relationships with RSA.
