Tesco Underwriting founder joins specialist motor insurer
Sabre Insurance said it has hired Geoff Carter as chief operating officer.
Carter resigned as chief executive of Tesco Underwriting only yesterday.
Carter will be located in Sabre’s Dorking office and will have particular responsibility for underwriting, marketing and broker relations.
Sabre chairman, Keith Morris, said: “We are delighted to have someone of Geoff’s experience and market profile joining the Sabre team as we enter out next phase of development. We are sure Geoff can make a significant contribution to Sabre’s future success.”
Tesco said yesterday that a search for a successor to Carter has begun. Tesco Underwriting is 50.1%-owned by Ageas and 49.9%-owned by Tesco Bank. It was formed in 2009 and writes personal motor and household business.
