A new method of defining a person's place in the social and financial pecking order has been designed by information services company, Experian.

Financial Strategy Segments, as the system is known, uses Experian's MOSAIC and Pixel segmentation systems and classifies the population of Great Britain by seven groups and 31 financial types.

Among Experian's newly-invented titles are aspirant millionaire, capital gainer, young jobsearcher, anxious breadwinner, juggling home and work, men behaving well, women flying home, cusp of retirement and nest-forming mothers.
