September sees the return of the hugely successful Insurance Endurance kart racing event, in association with Insurance Times.

On 9-10 September up to 350 guests from the insurance industry will convene in Milton Keynes to pit their driving skills against one another in an eight-hour endurance karting race to become the Insurance Endurance Champions of 2004.

Racing 75mph karts at Daytona, the fastest teams will cover over 500 km during the race.

This year's main race sponsor is Accenture, which has a longstanding involvement in motor racing through its close association with the BMW WilliamsF1 team.

Insurance Endurance, in association with Insurance Times, will start on the evening of Thursday 9 September with a four-hour practice session.

The race begins on Friday morning. Teams must manage driver changes, refueling and team tactics, lending a strong teambuilding element to the event. Every team also competes in the Pit Stop Challenge, where teams must race to change the tyres on a Formula One race car.

Team entry price is just £1,495 + VAT and each team package includes:

  • Team-branded, twin-engined Biz kart
  • Entry for up to ten drivers (minimum six)
  • Entry to four-hour practice session and trackside dinner on 9 September
  • Entry to the eight-hour Insurance Endurance, in association with Insurance Times
  • Tem entry to the F1 Pit Stop Challenge
  • Exclusive event branded merchandise for every driver
  • Breakfast and barbecue lunch on 10 September
  • There are also a limited number of sponsorship opportunities available, all of which include a complimentary team entry.
