Hundreds of thousands of pounds of damage were caused to Broadford School in Harold Hill, Essex, when fire ripped through the corrugated iron building last week.

A director of GAB Robins in Romford, David Jones, is heading a team carrying out investigations into the blaze, which destroyed the infants part of the primary school.

Arrangements have been made for temporary accommodation, furniture and books to make sure pupils will be able to return to school as usual in September.

The cause of the fire is believed to be arson.
