Lee Venamore recruited from Allianz as regional manager

Sterling Insurance Company has appointed Lee Venamore as a regional development manager.

Reporting directly to David Sweeney, director - general insurance, Venamore will be responsible for developing relations with brokers based in the South East region, as well as working with the new business underwriters to further develop the teams’ sales capability.

He has joined Sterling from Allianz Insurance where he spent 10 years in various underwriting, sales and management roles. He is president of the Mid Kent region of the Chartered Insurance Institute and is a football referee in the Conference Premier.

Sweeney said: “Lee brings with him a wealth of expertise across underwriting, sales and marketing disciplines as well as expertise of the South East broker market. He is a fantastic addition to the team and his knowledge will put us in good stead to look after a very valuable market sector.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
