Poll shows Conservative MPs want return of health tax relief

Two thirds of Conservative MPs polled by ComRes for BMI Healthcare support tax relief on private health insurance, the Telegraph claims.

Support for tax relief on standard rate income tax

  • 66% of Tory MPs
  • 1% of Labour MPs
  • 5% of Liberal Democrats

Two thirds of Conservatives said patients should be able to receive treatment part paid for by the NHS and part privately funded, as against 36% of Lib Dems and 14% of Labour MPs.
