Towergate has confirmed it has signed heads of agreement for the acquisition of motorbike specialist Mitchells, as reported in Insurance Times last week.
The deal will give Towergate just over 20,000 policies.
Executive chairman of Towergate Peter Cullum said: "This acquisition takes us into a new specialist line and we have ambitious plans to grow this business through organic sales development and acquisitions in the coming years."
