Towergate Partnership reached its 106th acquisition this week, with the announcement of three purchases.

The first was David Brake Insurance Consultants, based in Norfolk, which controls an extensive portfolio of licenced trade business.

Second was North London commercial broker ARG Group, which places over £11m of premium made up of a significant book of property owners' business.

Its third acquisition was Arbuthnot Insurance Brokers from Arbuthnot Banking, which has £12m of mainly commercial premium.

Peter Cullum, chairman of Towergate Partnership, said: "Towergate Partnership is in advanced stages of negotiation with a number of other regional brokers and specialist underwriting agencies.

"Our current rapid growth curve will continue and accelerate as we close in on our target of £2bn GWP in 2006."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
