Towergate Underwriting Group has launched a fundraising campaign for 2002. Its 600 employees are aiming to raise more than £100,000 for 'Help the Hospices' - the national charity for the hospice movement.

Employees will be running fundraising initiatives around the country to raise money for their local hospices.

In addition, Towergate's medical professional customers will be invited to make a small donation as part of their renewal premium, which Towergate and its insurer - Axa - will match.

Towergate's chairman Peter Cullum said he was delighted with the campaign, adding: "This was a natural choice for us as we insure over 60% of UK hospices.

"As well as raising funds for a valuable cause, the initiatve will create stronger relationships with our customers and staff."
