New system will reduce administration costs and enables financial advisers to do business online

Insurance software house Transactor Global Solutions Ltd (TGSL) has been appointed by income protection provider Cirencester friendly to replace its legacy IT systems.

The new Transactor system will provide:

  • Automation of workflows and processes reducing the cost in administering business
  • Fully functional financial adviser website allowing advisers to conduct business online
  • Fully functional members website to handle member enquiries and simple changes to member details
  • IT system based on a modern platform that will support Cirencester friendly’s ambitious development strategy.

The system will also manage current and future income protection contracts, provide decision makers with key information and reports, and increase efficiency and effectiveness of staff to enable improved sales.

TGSL chief technology officer Ian Blakesley said: “This is a major appointment for TGSL as it takes us into the wider world of financial services from the insurance sector. The Transactor system is very flexible, using modern .net technology and we look forward to developing and implementing an excellent and reliable system for Cirencester friendly.”

Cirencester friendly chief executive Paul Hudson said: ““The undertaking of a major project such as the replacement of an existing IT system, is one that requires a sensible and cautious approach. It is very easy to let the cost of these projects spiral out of control and as a mutual organisation the cost of developing and implementing any new system is carried by our Member owners.

“We are confident that by working with TGSL we will be able to deliver a system that both supports financial advisers and our members and provides the platform that will enable the society to thrive and prosper over the coming years”.
