Bum deal for Towergate boss
If you are of a sensitive disposition or have recently eaten, stop reading now.
Sure you want to go on? OK: Andy Homer, Towergate’s chief executive, bet the managing director of one of his subsidiaries that the MD wouldn’t be able to turn the business around within a year.
If the MD succeeded, Homer told the audience at the Insurance Times Forum this week, he had promised to bare his backside in the window of his local Sainsbury’s as a forfeit.
Guess what? Homer lost the bet. But we’re not telling you which branch of Sainsbury’s will be the venue for this cheeky display.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
