Senior underwriters join from Allianz, Brit and Towergate

NIG has made three senior appointments at its Leeds office.

Chris Robinson has been appointed area underwriting manager, Michelle Webster joins the insurer as area liability underwriter and David Lawson has been appointed technical field underwriter.

Robinson joins NIG from Allianz Commercial where he was national broker manager for Yorkshire and the North East region.

Webster joins NIG from Brit Insurance where she was a specialist liability underwriter .

Lawson has joined from Towergate Underwriting where he was regional development manager.

In addition, Mark Wolfenden will join the Leeds team as operations manager, moving from a similar role with NIG in Manchester.

Steve Scott recently joined from Allianz as area business development manager.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
