DAS welcomes BTE report

DAS welcomed an indepen-dent report on the before-the-event (BTE) legal expenses market commissioned by the Ministry of Justice. The legal expenses insurer said it particularly welcomed the government's endorsement of the role BTE played in delivering access to justice. First published 26 October

Atrium first for Room

Atrium became the first insurer to go live with Room’s business process outsourcing service. The insurer is currently outsourcing the risk entry of its aviation and aviation war books of business and is planning to expand the service to cover further lines of business. First published 26 October

Irish injury claim change

The Irish Personal Injuries Assessment Board is to extend the circumstances in which vulnerable personal injury claimants may be allowed additional fees and expenses, including legal fees on the assessment of their claims. First published 26 October

Oxygen teams up with CRS

Lloyd’s broker Oxygen announced a partnership with broker CRS yachts and the creation of a specialist ‘super yacht’ team. The existing CRS yachts team of Simon Ballard, Ashley Stratton and Robert Higham will relocate to Oxygen’s head office in London. First published 26 October
