Membership now at 140 after additions, departures and mergers

Networks

Willis Networks has added 12 new members and lost three so far in 2013, putting the total membership at 140.

The membership figure is lower than the 142 reported in March after Aviva left the networks’ insurer panel, but higher than the figure at the beginning of the year.

Three new members joined Willis Commercial Network, the largest of the two Willis Networks, while nine joined Willis N2 (see below for full list).

The three departures were all from Willis Commercial Network, meaning its membership remained static at 93. Two were outright departures, while one member was purchased.

Willis N2, which Willis is looking to grow, now has 47 members.

There have also been five mergers within the networks during the year.

Willis Networks managing director, Sara Fardon, said: “I am pleased to confirm that 12 new members have chosen to join the Willis Networks.

“Over the past six months we have improved the proposition to complement the core reasons for selecting the Willis Networks: access to leading insurers, innovative products, business development and marketing services to help brokers compete in local markets, along with the support of a global broker.

“The scale and depth of our offering set us above and apart from other networks.”
