Two cheers for Mastek Insurance. The technology provider generously tried to supply delegates at the CII conference with red wine at lunch, but any delegate tempted to taste the tipple would have been disappointed on both days.
On Thursday, conference organisers withdrew the Mastek-branded wine in a panic over a clash of sponsors, as lunch was sponsored by Halifax.
The booze was back on Friday, but with no corkscrews provided, delegates were again frustrated. Backchat knows how people in the insurance market enjoy raising a glass, but can we have something in it next time?
