AIG’s Europe claims head fills role left by departed Graham Lambourne

XL has hired former AIG executive David Miller as its new UK-based head of international non-life claims.

He replaces Graham Lambourne, who left the insurance group on 29 October.

XL expects Miller to join the company in January 2014.He will be basedin London and will report to group global  insurance claims head  Andrew Pinkes.

Miller was previously chief claims officer for Europe at AIG. He began his career with Sun Alliance in 1985 and joined AIG in 1991, holding a series of positions with increasing responsibility and scope.

Pinkes said: “David’s proven track record in driving high quality claims service across Europe equips him for his new role, which will see him leading teams in 14 countries.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
