UK director of property investors to expand role
Zurich has appointed Richard Elliott as head of its recently formed European Property Investors business.
The new organisation will offer brokers based throughout mainland Europe access to local underwriters with specialist international market knowledge.
Elliot will retain his role as director of property investors for Zurich’s general insurance business in the UK, founded five years ago.
Key countries have been identified for fast development, supported by the UK property investors team.
Elliot will report to Dave Smith, Managing Director, Broker.
Smith said:
“Richard has extensive knowledge of this niche market and has been key to the success of our UK Property Investors business. The unit’s expansion under Richard into the regions last year brought us closer to the broker.”
Elliott added:
“Zurich can now offer its customers throughout Europe a truly cohesive approach to international property insurance."
