Zurich plans to cut a further 360 jobs in its global corporate business by the end of 2017, Reuters reported the Swiss insurer saying in a statement.

This latest tranche brings to about 1,800 the total number of job cuts or transfers expected. At the end of last year Zurich had approximately 55,000 staff.

Last month the company announced that 440 jobs will go at its UK general insurance business.

Zurich’s chief executive Martin Senn quit earlier this week in the aftermath of the firm’s failed takeover bid for RSA and a sharp drop in third quarter profit.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
