Zurich promotes three in UK GI business

Zurich has made three new appointments in its UK general insurance commercial broker business.

  • Steve Green will become European middle market network leader across Zurich’s European general insurance business. Steve was formerly head of corporate in the UK.
  • Dave Carey becomes head of corporate. Carey was most recently head of broker market, south.
  • Roy Standish becomes head of real estate insurance. He was most recently city manager, London.

Gary Wainwright, UKGI director of middle market & specialties, said: “These three internal promotions show the depth of talent and expertise we have throughout our business.

"Steve will share our highly successful middle market expertise across Europe, while Dave and Roy will take responsibility for the end-to-end value propositions for their segments, continuing to develop these to help our brokers win and retain business."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
