Biography:
John Percy-Davis has 25 years' experience in the international insurance broking business. Before joining the group and its predecessor companies he spent 12 years with CE Heath. He was appointed to the board of Alexander Forbes Limited in 1996 and is the executive chairman of Alexander Forbes Risk Services.

Alexander Forbes Risk Services is the world-wide insurance broking and risk consulting business of the group.

The business operates four main segments:

  • Risk Solutions: providing integrated risk management and financing advice and facilities to multinational companies and major national groups with complex risks profiles

  • Corporate: aimed at large national corporate companies and organisations.

  • Commercial: giving cost-effective delivery to small and medium-sized enterprises

  • Personal Insurance: providing risk services to individuals

    In addition to this, the Group has specialist divisions such as professional indemnity, transportation risk management and financial institutions.

    Global Broking Services concentrates on the design, structure and implementation of insurance and reinsurance programmes tailored to meet clients' requirements and the development of innovative new insurance and reinsurance products.   • Political Risks: designs and implements programmes for corporations and financial institutions with exposures in politically or economically sensitive environments

  • Marine: one of the leading cargo brokers in the London market.

    Alexander Forbes Risk Services is a partner of EOS RISQ, the risk management and insurance broking alliance, and EOS RISQ Finance, which provides focused alternative risk transfer and captive management resources in Europe.

    The group now employs over 5,500 employees in 32 countries.
