Aggregator introduces blind CVs as one of several methods to attract females

Price comparison site GoCompare has introduced all female shortlists and blind CVs in an attempt to attract female staff.

The price comparison site has unveiled the measures as it faces up to its responsibilities under the gender pay gap rules.

Blind CVs mean job applicants’ name, age and school are removed. Software also scans job adverts for bias.

“These tools have helped increase the number of women applying for engineering roles,” said Ellen Sugden, who runs GoCompare’s diversity and inclusion arm, according to The Telegraph.

The firm is also using all female shortlists, with the chief marketing officer role using this method.

GoCompare will have to report gender pay gap figures next year, after surpassing 250 staff.
