History: Windsor is a long established Lloyd's broker that began writing commercial and marine insurance in the early part of the last century.

The recent renaissance in the company's fortunes dates from the appointment of David Low as chief executive in 1997. A root and branch restructuring of the group followed creating a number of specialist brokers focusing primarily on professional indemnity, commercial and sport. The group also operates in other sectors, including international insurance and reinsurance, which continue to increase their contribution to group profits.

Windsor plc is a fully quoted company on the London Stock Exchange. In recent years the company has invested heavily in IT, enabling the group to cut costs while delivering an improved service to its clients. Shareholders have benefited from seven years of uninterrupted growth.
