Olympic rowing gold medallist James Cracknell (above right) is supporting PPP healthcare's campaign to get people fit.

He kicks off the campaign this month with a rowing challenge for office workers in the City.

PPP hopes to encourage up to 50,000 people to take up regular exercise by sponsoring the Fitness Industry Association's (FIA) Commit to Get Fit campaign 2001.

According to PPP, whose marketing manager, Peter Roach, is seen above with Cracknell, 187 million working days are lost every year through illness.

Cracknell said: “Creating events for people to get involved with gives everyone an incentive, but PPP are also backing that up with information for everyone regarding diet, nutrition and the benefits of exercise.”
