Digitec, which provides full product life-cycle support services to the IT industry, is extending its services to the insurance industry.

It offers comprehensive assessment of damaged products, including goods-in-transit, time critical commercial claims and domestic claims.

Products are repaired if this is more cost effective than replacement. The key elements of the service are independent assessment and advice.

Pilot projects of the new service are currently being conducted and a full service will begin in January 2001.
