Pet Plan, a subsidiary of Cornhill, is acquiring the Bankers Equine Direct business from Bankers Insurance Company.
The administration of the Bankers Equine Direct business will be transferred at renewal of clients' existing policies to Pet Plan's head office in Brentford, West London and will be handled by the existing specialist equine teams.
Pet Plan now holds about 42% of the small animal market and is the leader in the pet insurance field, providing cover for more than 500,000 dogs, rabbits and horses.
