Claims management group Accidentcare is poised to go interactive with a new CD-ROM for its 80,000 customers.

The company will distribute the CD-ROM, Brochure Interactive (BI), through its 300-strong medium-sized to large commercial and personal lines brokers.

The cards, which will feature embedded internet access, are branded in the name of each of Accidentcare's brokers.

Sachelle Singh, group sales and marketing director at Accidentcare, said: “Until now we have had a membership card where people phone in and give us their card number. With this new card, they can access a web browser, branded in the name of the broker, allowing the broker to interact with them.”

BI will let Accidentcare's customers report claims and follow their progress. Singh said the card's technology infrastructure will allow it to be turned into a “smart card” at the end of this year.

This will let brokers monitor their clients' web habits and target them with online marketing campaigns.

Accidentcare marketing manager Matthew Simons said: “Accidentcare offers its clients a proactive accident claim service. Ground Bass' Brochure Interactive offers us a dynamic communication channel to our members, and one that will deliver accurate up-to-the-minute details on accounts, claims and claim procedures.”

By deploying the new system, Accidentcare will also gain insight into its customers' habits and buying preferences.

Each time a customer uses Accidentacre's new system, the card will be updated, allowing brokers to tailor their services in the future.

The CD-Roms will be distributed at the end of this month, and has been developed by software company, Ground Bass.
