Allianz Ireland has selected Indian software company Winpro to be its partner for the development of
its business systems, customer information and analysis.
Allianz had been seeking a partner to help expand the resource capacity of its current system, Insure 90, as the company had difficulty in recruiting people with a working knowledge of the technology.
As part of the deal, Winpro's offshore development centres will be like a virtual extension of the Allianz IT department and will build new applications.
Allianz Ireland's head of IT, Karen Forte, said: "Winpro has delivered projects such as these on time and on budget.
"It has so far proved very flexible to our needs."
