Previously responsible for large broker relationships

Allianz has promoted Jamie Lewis to the role of branch manager at its Maidstone office.

Lewis joined Allianz in May 2012 as a strategic account manager and was responsible for managing some of Allianz’s largest broker relationships. Before Allianz he held various roles at AXA, including head of mid-market distribution and head of sales in London.

At Maidstone he will be responsible for profitable growth, meeting Allianz’ commercial target, and strengthening its local broker relationships.

He replaces Sarah Smith, who has become a technical manager for quality in Allianz’ claims division.

Andrew Broughton, director commercial broker markets, Allianz Commercial, said: “I am pleased this important position has been filled internally. Allianz prides itself on the strength of its people and I believe that Jamie’s promotion demonstrates this.

“As Allianz is the largest insurer in the Kent region, it is important that we have a strong leader who can nurture and grow our broker relationships in the area as well as continuing to develop our people both technically and personally.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
