AM Best has assigned a B++ (very good) insurer financial strength rating to Isle of Man-based Western Isles Insurance Company (WIICL). The rating outlook is stable.
It said the rating for WIICL reflected its stable capitalisation and profitable prospective operating performance.
An offsetting factor in the rating is the company’s dependence upon business generated by its Moscow-based parent company, Soglasie Insurance Company, said the ratings agency.
