Lester Knight replaces Aon founder Patrick Ryan.
Aon has named independent director Lester Knight as non-executive chairman of the corporate board, replacing Aon founder Patrick Ryan.
Knight, a founding and managing partner of RoundTable Healthcare Partners – a private equity investment firm – has been an independent Aon director since 1999. He will chair meetings of the board of directors and work with the board and management in setting the strategic direction of the firm.
Ryan is retiring on 1 August after more than 40 years at the international broker’s helm.
