Andrew Child to head new team

Aon Trade Credit UK has established an international team as the financial crisis increases the demand for trade credit.

The team will be headed up by Andrew Child, who is director of Aon’s Reading branch.

He said: “Global chief executives and risk managers face the challenge of grasping not only how their company is operating in several countries but also the health of their customers. Bad debt could spiral from one country to hit the parent so international businesses need to adopt a more sophisticated way of monitoring cashflow.”

According to Aon’s recent Global Risk Management Survey, liquidity was one of the top ten risks for global companies in 2009.

The new team will place global credit insurance programmes centrally, offer daily advice on changing credit limits and secure insurance cover.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
