Online wholesale commercial underwriting agency Anglo Pacific Consultants (APC) is to add three new products to its underwriting system, Quotemac.

APC managing director Brian Russell said APC was in advanced discussions with accountancy technology provider Systems Union to develop a compatible accountancy program to work with Quotemac.

Russell said the accountancy program would allow brokers to automatically create back-office records when placing cover through the online system.

The three products being added to Quotemac are cleaning contractors, general tradesman policies and non-package policies. This will allow brokers to generate quotes for businesses that do not fit into any of the defined categories on the Quotemac system.

Russell said more than 600 brokers were currently using Quotemac, with the system quoting £61m in premium in the past year.
