'No plans to change our model,' says Aviva chief executive

Aviva chief executive Andrew Moss has ruled out selling any part of the business to rival insurer RSA.

Aviva rebuffed a 5bn offer from RSA for its UK, Irish and Canadian general insurance businesses last August. It valued the business at closer to £8bn.

“We love being in both the general and life insurance business so we have no plans to change that,” said Moss in an interview with City AM.

“We’re the only company that writes right across the piece so I think we have a cross-selling opportunity that nobody else has.”
